Amazon FBA Youtubers Part 2.

The first part of Amazon FBA Youtubers can be found here. It will also:

  • describe the criteria,
  • what we are looking for,
  • making sure we all know that this is trying to be helpful rather than annoying

So who is next?

Learn With Abby

This is Learn With Abby and she comes up when you search for Amazon FBA on Youtube. The video is here:

Cool things:

  • the video seems like it is someone talking to you on Zoom. It is an odd sensation that seems to work well because it seems so personable. This theme seems to run through Abbys videos
  • Abby has 20k subscribers (at time of writing) but this video has 104k views. Which is a huge difference for the good rather than bad. Youtube thinks- low subscriber and high views = good content which is being viewed elsewhere. Therefore Abby gets high placement for such a low subscriber amount. Remember Google own Youtube, they want quality content. When you look at the other videos they average around 2k views which is still large with the subscriber amount.
  • there is an FAQ. Which is a cool idea in the info box- it also increases that personable nature of the videos again
  • 312 comments with very little negative comments
  • there is actually content in the video with minimal promotion

People will say about the graphics are poor. There needs to be more production to the videos. But I disagree.

The videos are made to look personable.

That is it.

Everything is meant to look this way. Whether it is by marketing design or that is the way Abby likes to promote education I am unsure. But Abby is comfortable in this environment. It is also because there is no flash that the idea of a "Zoom" call is more reinforced.

Can Learn With Abby (with Amazon FBA) do more?

First I think what whatever is working keep with it :)

But I do think that many Youtube Amazon FBA creators fail in one thing (actually 2, but the first is needed- so both are first):

  1. They assume that you know what FBA is. They also assume that you know what all these terms are. What Alibaba is etc.

If I wanted to know how to sell on Amazon, I would look up how to sell on Amazon. Not necessarily "how to sell on Amazon using FBA".

So. I took it upon myself to check and get keyword data for this.

  • Amazon FBA- 120k people are looking for this and 21k websites have this exact keyword
  • Sell on Amazon FBA- 5k people searching, 1k websites
  • Fulfilled By Amazon- 7k people are searching, 2k websites
  • How to sell on Amazon- 13k people searching, 3k websites
  • Learn to sell on Amazon- 9k people searching, 1k websites

So everyone will want to go for the first keyword right? Well, yes and no. It would be nice to have that somewhere but it just states Amazon FBA. It doesn't "mean" anything.

Top slot is sponsored by Amazon. Second, is another sponsor. Third result is the actual Google first result- going to Amazon.

What you find is that people are wanting to know how to sell X on Amazon. Most people don't know about FBA- you have to introduce them to that.

  1. Another top 1 is what are people meant to do on your videos? Everything has a reason when you upload. I know that Abby talks about certain products that are placed in the info box but how many people go to the info box to actually click on the links? I am unsure. This could be my issue with what Abby can do more of. But you have to ask yourself- will it mess up the personability of the videos?

So:

  • The videos need to make use of some of the products. I saw one that was to do with Helium10. I have seen this everywhere and it would have been nice to go deep into Helium10. A follow up video going through the various categories of Helium10. The video would be nice to show us where to get Helium10 from. How has it helped you? What can it do?  The video is here:
  • I understand that Abby has a learning program to help you with Amazon FBA. But you have to find it in the info section. It isn't mentioned in the videos we have seen. Also it isn't labelled as Abbys- just Free Amazon FBA course. With the good will that Abby has built up- I would go for a course that is produced by her. If you do click on the link you go to here:

I am unsure what you are supposed to do. Watch the video? I have just come from a video. The screen is tiny (yes you can increase it but why isn't it a Youtube video as the controls are not what I am used to?). I am here (possibly) waiting to give money or an email address. There are some cool positives of why I should be here (some testimonials would be nice). I would even like an ebook or an Amazon book which I can buy.

  • Unsure why there is a free business quiz. What will it give me, how can it help me?
  • Just wondering but would more people click on a video that says "how to fully research an Amazon product to sell" vs "How to use Helium10 insights on Amazon FBA"? I am unsure, but if you are going with personability then the first title might win because there is not the idea in the mind that you could be selling something. But if it appears in a video and you are using it really well and finding some cool results then that makes people want it. But again, there is no mention of where to find Helium10 from using your code. If people are using say an Apple box they don't see the info section of a Youtube video.
  • Apart from the video at the start of this page, Abbys videos seem to get more results if she talks about her beginnings, what she likes/ dislikes, what were the ways to start first products, what product ideas and why. Seems like products and which ones are the main sellers on Amazon FBA are good topics for Abbys videos (this would have to be tested however). Amazon Product sourcing consultancy?
  • Seems that Abby has a lot of business experience and has sold a lot of dollars worth of products through Amazon. Therefore it would be nice (again an issue with membership programs, training courses) if there's a pro version. How about all the Amazon sellers that know how to use Alibaba, Helium10 and other plugins and devices but are stagnent at $10k/year? They actually have the money to buy a larger ticket item.

As per always we hope Learn With Abby does well, we really enjoy the style and content of the videos.
