What Are The Best Selling Ebooks On eBay?

The best selling ebooks on eBay are actually under really common topics. However, most have a little twist.

When searching for "ebook" I found nothing under the general eBay search- just electronics, like readers.

Then I tried "ebook books" which gave me a few more results. I also tried "ebook resell rights" and "ebook business".

Now for selling ebooks on eBay I have done a cool (ahem) article on this that can be found here.

I have noticed that:

non-fiction ebooks don't do terribly well
"how to" books are not too bad
collections of similar subject do OK

What have most the ebook providers on eBay got in common?

The ebooks are pretty much similar to one another, they don't look good...or they are of the same topic. So what topics are covered and which are the best selling ebooks on ebay? Here's the list:

anything to make money or to do better on a certain platform seem to do well

Forex- $1.19, 91 sold

Some thoughts on the best selling ebooks on eBay

Most are similar/ the same product. I am unsure why $1.19 seems to be a price people are willing to pay. Also, I am unsure how many of those products are truely legit. However people are willing to pay for that.

But is that a good thing?

It is extremely tempting to copy what has already been done. Why not, they are making money from it. but it won't help you in the long run.

So is it a good thing? No, it can't be. Because I think it hurts the ebook industry if these items are then resold again and again. Could Google start clamping down on ebooks or start to demand certain specifics before they are bought? How about if your ebook is in a collection without your knowledge?

It happened to one niche- toenail fungus. It was a popular niche and then it just got so overcrowded then people started to make really odd and wrong content. people were buying products of no use and eventually many websites just started refusing to accept any content that had toenail fungus within it. Google Medic Update seems to have had a similar effect- down voting websites that are medical but yet have little medical backlinks or authority.

Can this be changed?

Yes it can.

People go to eBay for bargains and for things that they might not find anywhere else.

Baby- baby care, formula
Camera- digital and batteries
Cellphones- cellphones, cases
Crafts- jewellery making
Hair and Beauty- anti-aging, hair loss
Home & Garden- water filters and home improvement
Pet Supplies- tick/ flea treatment, plant care

Changing your eBay selling approach

Can you see anything here?

There is no ebook category. That is not what they are searching for.

However, why not.

Who says you can't team up with a supplier/ vendor and ask to sell your ebook at a discount/ bonus with their product? A USB of your ebook package won't use up a huge amount of space or even weight but will increase the value of the listing?

Just look at some of those categories- categories that are always selling! Here's a few examples on how to add an ebook.
