Jasonera Law

This is Jasonera Law: By picking a random product to sell you are going to get random results.

But what does it actually mean?

Many people fail online not because of the lack of trying, heck they try better and with more gusto than most. What they do fail on is Jasonera Law (I like the ring to it, totally just made up). Without a specific plan, without something in place that is designed for you (not some marketing jargon that fits everyone) you are trying to find a random product that will ultimately generate random results.

Jasonera’s Law also states that without proper due diligence you will never succeed even if you have the best SEO. Don't rely on the charts, not what people think or write. Just your own due diligence- your own thorough research. Charts give you are rough idea of how the market is- what types of products are selling at the time you are looking.

It is very easy to generate that first sale, because people trust your judgment. But the majority of sales and the major money come from the repeat sales, upsells and backend sales. This is all well known, but you can only achieve the honey pot sales if your first one is up to scratch. If your first product sucks due to many different factors (all through your own control) then the likeliness of repeat sales is going to be reduced…vastly.

One of the first pointers in making your own product is to make it the best that you can…make it be worth much more than you are going to sell it for.

So the flip side of this: if your product is bloated and full of BS and is expensive, would you buy again from the author or trust their judgment?

No, neither would I.

The problem comes once the product has been bought.

Jasonera Law again: Why most things work well but dont work when you try them

Some people will complain and say that all factors are out of their control, they say the following:

  • I can not control Adwords
  • I can not control the products content
  • I can not control what they sell it for
  • I can not control their delivery
  • I can not, I can not…blah blah blah

Actually you can control everything that is part of your chosen product and you can do so at the very beginning.

For a very simple example, take Adwords. If you think that your promotion techniques for a certain product is going to start with Adwords then you have already selected a promotion vehicle. If that vehicle stalls or stops because of poor maintenance then it is your fault.

Adwords works just fine, in fact it is a brilliant system.

Many people complain that the cost per click is too high. Ermm…what was you going to expect, for it to stay normal and level for ever? The CPC fluctuates depending on the amount of clicks your ad gets, the competition level and the bidding amount. If you choose Adwords then unfortunately you chose wrong if you can not make it work.

If you are going to use a promotional vehicle like Adwords then you had better make sure that you know exactly what you are doing with Adwords, what you are trying to accomplish…AND if it actually makes you a profit or loss. Most people use Adwords because they are told to use Adwords.

Jasonera’s Law is at work again. A random bashing around at keyphrases/ keywords/ CPC/ targeted areas will give a random result. How about if you give a stranger $100 and said do my Adwords campaign, would you actually do it? No of course not. So why use something that you have no idea about?

This is product selection at work.

You really need to write down Jasonera’s Law:

By picking something random you are going to get random results.

Figuring out how to market a product once you have a product is a poor model to base any future success from and almost always never works.

To try and to try again?

Many people who read this multipart "course" will click back because they do not like to be told that they are playing at the Internet. But that is what many people do. They hear that it is a “cash machine” they hear of the thousands of dollars that can be made by just the push of a button. But many, many steps are left out to get to this position. You will hear this again and again, but the “Internet” is just another medium to get your message across- it is just quicker and can reach more people.

I myself just didn’t get this for a while. I love Internet marketing (but I am not an “Internet marketer”). I love the aura around it and many people fall in love with the “it just could be me” attitude. We all buy the books and courses about Internet marketing. We love to read about the rags to riches stories. We love it how it can be so easy to grab 10,000 subscribers in a day. We read that it is hard work and actually took many months of work, that part is usually glanced over. Look! Here is how we got $20,000 in 4 days from one email…the cycle continues.

Before we go on, do you want to be a business or do you want instant riches?

If you want to be a professional and try to find the best products for you then read on. If you want quick riches then dream on.

Instant $10,000/ month is a lie and can only really be done this way:

Have a large email list that is responsive to each and every email that you have sent. Then send them to an offer that you have created or an affiliate offer someone else has created.

That’s how it is done.

But if you want great CTR, you pick a super product each time and a business where people respect what you say and you have fun doing it then this is the book for you.

Quick riches and huge pay days are just hype from theory people who fail to mention the small step of actually having a responsive audience in the first place.

Product picking is vitally important to any business and picking a product will make your business sink or swim.

Ewen Chia once stated “…product selection is still of uttermost importance”.

You may be the best promoter, you may be the best marketer, heck you might even be able to get 100,000 visitors within a year to your site.

But if your product selection is built upon a random “pick only the best” then you are going to fail in a big way.

This is one of the fundamental reasons why it can be so hard for some affiliates to achieve an affiliate success and why some affiliates romp off into the sunset with large commission cheques.

You have probably seen list after list of why some products are better than others, how to choose the best product based upon stat after stat and why the same rehashed information product is better than exactly the same one before it.
