Noah Kagans Monthly1k

This link goes to the sales page above for the Monthly1k (no affiliate link).

Now. I have to admit I was wondering about doing this. Noah is quite the marketing cool kid and tests everything in sight (well he did when I first followed him, unsure now, probably does). Noah knows what he is doing. So this is his mind being poured out into digital format suggesting that you can create a $1k monthly business- when it is structured and the reader is given direction.

I am also not inclined to do many pure how to make money online things. So, hopefully, these should be rare. Anyway:

Positives?

  • Its Noah. If you have been following him, you know who he is- more so now that he is doing Youtube interviews on rich people.
  • The website is clearly designed with getting trust built and to reduce some of those fears that you might have in make money online products
  • theres some cool text for the people in the know like text hyperlinks, Reddit texts (like TLDR). Theres also some minor self depreciating humor
  • nice testimonials
  • very clean and nice text
  • some pictures

Its all very nice. But the question we should ask is:

If I didnt know Noahs background, would I buy the Monthly1K?

No.

Now, don't get mad or annoyed. I have not looked at the course, I have heard and read reviews that it is good. But from my perspective is if the sales page going to get me to move forward and buy? And I am not sure that it does.

Why?

Because I feel that Noah or possibly someone else has written the sales page with not necessarily the customer in mind.

Check on the page and see for yourself. You will notice something that is very obvious when pointed out that subconsciously stops you from doing so:

  • There is too much going on. What do you see first:

I see the big box blow outs right? I don't see the text that is explaining the product and reducing some of the questions that could be being created. And this is throughout the sales page. Small text, boom larger graphics/ blow out areas.

What is involved in the course is in 3 paragraphs- I am assuming this because that is all I could find on the screen.

I get a picture of the course (bonus points) but that is combined with other pictures from the sales page

So now I am wondering- is it an ebook or a video series. Noah states in the TLDR that this will skip his boring lectures- so some confusion here.

  • Links. This is why I am wondering if it is Noah that created the page. There are hyperlinks to get you out of the sales page as quickly as possible- highly likely unintended? So I click on one link that introduces you to the original version? Which takes me to teachable and the course is $600

The "at a glance" section has 3 links: solopreneurs, small businesses, entrepreneur-curious. Each link takes you to tons of other courses that Appsumo has. Now this is only close to the top of the screen. We go further down. "Validation is the KEY" which is within the section step of the course, takes you off screen to an ebook sign up form:

Remember that each of these links has taken me away from the sales page- I have to click back, they do not open in a separate window (some of the links actually do not click back...which is odd).

Then we get further down and we have a list of related articles before we get to the payment stage. All of these links take you away from the sales page.

  • Payment Plan. This is is an odd term. I would think it states that you are buying over a period of time rather than buying there and then. Maybe payment plan needs to be when people are inputting their payment details? It is probably a standard text for some larger Appsumo purchases but can it be tweaked? Here is this screen:

Ahh...they do have videos, dozens of them. Didn't realise until now. So what are those? So for $20 is the sales page reduced or was this the $600 sales page? People bought just off 3 green ticks. Hang on. There are 4 course modules. We had 3 parts to the course initially, so why now 4? The only difference is scaling and beyond- which would be to make $2k/ month?

  • Others business. I think it would be nice to actually highlight others businesses.
  • Dollar. Are the buyers of the product holding 1 dollar (one X of someones currency) because that is their first one in business?
  • Links. I came from a link that says OKDork. Then transported to Appsumo. I know both addresses are Noahs but when they don't match sometimes a little bit of confidence reduces.
  • Sounds bad but. This is in total respect, but are people coming to this webpage due to Youtube (which I did) because of his interviews. Orr...do they know Noahs background? There seems to be an assumption that Noah believes he doesn't need to talk about his background. I quote: "Noah Kagan (who’s already launched four 7-figure businesses himself, nbd) will walk you through how to". Stating also, "Chief Sumo" is a cool thing, he created Appsumo, but again there is an assumption that actually means something. What do I mean? Well, evveryone that knows Noah probably bought Monthly1k when it was released and told their friends about it when they read it. It was heavily promoted when it was first released using some big online names to discuss Noah and the product (remember wannapreneur?). The new generation of sales might not be in the know of who Noah is. Again, I am only assuming, but it is a thought.
  • Comments. You might need to answer some of the questions posed in the comments section at the bottom of your sales page. Shame that you have to login to pose a question.
  • Updated? I am unsure if the course has been updated since its release. If so then cool but could that be stated? If not then maybe a few new sections/ videos for the new release.

As per always we wish Noah all the best.
